WAYNE COUNTY, OH, Dec. 16, 2020 — The Wayne County Care Center is offering a facility–based training program to individuals desiring to become an STNA. This program is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skillset necessary to complete the Ohio State Nurse Aide Test. Upon successful completion of the State of Ohio Nurse Aide Test, individuals will be able to deliver competent, compassionate care in the role of STNA. Class Dates: Jan. 25– Feb. 10. 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Wayne County Care Center. Application Deadline: Jan. 4, 2021.

STNAs are responsible for the direct care of patients. This includes transporting, assisting with serving food, bathing, changing, personal care, changing bed linens, recording resident measurements and vitals, and assisting with turning/ positioning, in order to make the resident more comfortable. The STNA is the primary contact with the residents and must be caring, patient, and able to communicate with those who may not be able to communicate for themselves.
