The Wayne County Care Center is accepting applications for the position of full-time Social Worker for the County’s 50 bed skilled/ intermediate nursing and 20 bed assisted living facility.
Successful candidates will have a dedicated work ethic, support teamwork, and share a deep commitment to the seniors we serve. As a County organization, the Care Center provides excellent benefits that include low-cost health coverage, OPERS retirement, and a free health clinic. The Care Center also maintains higher than average staff-to-resident ratios to ensure the best possible care for our residents and to support the staff who work here.
The Social Worker develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the social service program in accordance with current regulations, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the residents are met/ maintained on an individual basis. The Social Worker is responsible for admissions and tours as well. This person must be detail-oriented, possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills, as well as being observant and caring. A positive, compassionate, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to help enrich the lives of residents is required for this position.
Licensed Social Worker preferred.
