Help Develop Corrections Plan
WAYNE COUNTY, OH, Sep. 14, 2021 — A public forum will be held on Sept. 21, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grace Church, 4599 Burbank Road, Wooster, to develop the Wayne County Community Corrections Strategic Plan. The event is sponsored by the Wayne County Community Corrections Board and is open to anyone residing in the county.
The plan will identify near and longer-range goals and objectives designed to improve the criminal justice system and create a safer community for residents. Leadership group members have previously met to determine the parameters of the project. Consultants were employed to interview and survey stakeholders.
The forum will consist of presentations and large and small group discussions. Registration is required by Friday, Sept. 17, 2021. To register, email Capt. Jammie Richards of the Wayne County Sheriff Dept. at jrichards@wcsohio.org and include the attendee’s first name, last name, email address, phone number, and agency if applicable. Questions may also be directed to Capt. Richards.
Social distancing will be maintained, masks, hand sanitizer, and a continental breakfast will be provided; Deja Food Truck will be on-site, and lunch may be purchased. Community participation is encouraged to help make the event successful.
