The Commissioners recently toured Dragway 42 and the Virgil Gasser farm with the Soil & Water Department. We enjoyed learning more about Dragway 42 and the important sediment and water quality provisions that were involved with this venture as well as hearing about what Ron Matcham and his team envisions and hopes for the future of his “dream”. From cars to cows- we then went to a dairy farm and learned about the many conservation practices that the Gasser family has been installing and collaborating with the Soil & Water office on – to help with Nutrient management and have a cleaner and healthier facility. We were lucky to have a beautiful Ohio day to be outside!
